Public Diplomacy: Books, Articles, Websites

  • Council member Bruce Gregory compiles an annotated list of books, periodicals, and online publications on public diplomacy and related subjects.  He distributes the list with weblinks where available to teachers, students, and others interested in the study and practice of public diplomacy.  To receive the list directly, send your email address to BGregory1@aol.com

Click here for Bruce's latest survey.  For a complete compilation going back to June 29 2002, go to the following weblink maintained by the University of Southern California:
http://publicdiplomacy.wikia.com/wiki/Bruce_Gregory's_Reading_List

You can search authors, publications and key words in the list.  Type the key word(s) into the Web site’s search box (upper left of the page).  If the response is a page saying “no matches,” find “Search in namespaces” at the bottom of that page, uncheck the “Main” box and check the “Public Diplomacy” box.  Re-enter your search term and try again.

  • The Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy released on June 25 its report "Getting the People Part Right" on the human resources of public diplomacy.  The report addresses recruitment, performance management and training, making recommendations in all areas.  Find and download the report at http://www.state.gov/r/adcompd/
